It stood in the area now known as Nittany Parking deck. History was once made where the SUVs and sturdy cement surface now sit. New Beaver Field opened in 1909 just to the northeast of famed Rec Hall.The field was considered the Taj Mahal compared to Beaver Field -- a 500-seat structure built behind the current site of the Osmond Building. Penn State played its games there until New Beaver Field opened its doors, housing many memorable moments through 1960.
